The New York Mets promoted Ian Levin to assistant general manager but left the interim GM title on Zack Scott, SNY reported Monday.

In addition, the club promoted Bryn Alderson, son of team president Sandy Alderson, on the scouting side, per the report, citing a team memo from over the weekend.

Levin has been with the Mets since 2005, Alderson since 2011.

Scott remains as the interim after taking over for Jared Porter last winter. The Mets fired Porter in January for explicit text messages he sent to a female reporter in 2016 while working for the Chicago Cubs.

Major League Baseball subsequently put Porter on the ineligible list through the end of the 2022 season.
