The Colorado Rockies announced Monday that executive vice president and general manager Jeff Bridich had stepped down, effective immediately.

Bridich, 43, had been with the organization since 2004 and had served as the GM since October 2014.

In a news release, the team said the move was “mutually agreed” upon and that an interim GM will be appointed for the remainder of the season.

A search for a permanent replacement will begin after the 2021 season, according to the team.

The Rockies also announced that executive vice president and chief operating officer Greg Feasel has been named the team president and COO. He will now oversee baseball operations in addition to his current role in charge of business operations.

Colorado entered Monday with an 8-13 record. The Rockies were 26-34 during the abbreviated 2020 season. They made the playoffs in 2017 and 2018.
