The Brooklyn Nets signed veteran free agent guard Patty Mills on Tuesday.

Terms were not disclosed, but ESPN reported last week that the sides had agreed to a two-year deal worth $12 million.

Mills, a 12-year veteran who spent the past 10 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, averaged 10.8 points on 41.2 percent shooting (37.5 percent from 3-point range) in 24.8 minutes per game over 68 games (one start) last season.

The Australian was a second-round pick in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers, where he spent two seasons before joining San Antonio. He has career averages of 8.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He turns 33 on Wednesday.

Mills is coming off an outstanding Olympics run with the Australian national team, averaging 23.3 points and 6.3 assists while leading the Boomers to their first ever men’s basketball medal — a bronze.
