The Denver Nuggets will be without guard Will Barton indefinitely after he suffered a right hamstring strain in Friday night’s 118-97 loss to the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Barton, 30, was hurt driving to the basket just 59 seconds into the game and didn’t return.

In 56 games (52 starts) this season, Barton is averaging 12.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the Nuggets (39-21).

While Denver coach Michael Malone called it a “pretty significant hamstring strain,” Barton vowed to return in a Saturday tweet.

The Nuggets’ other starting guard, Jamal Murray, tore the ACL in his left knee in an April 12 game against the Warriors on the same court. He is out for the season.

Barton, a 6-foot-6 veteran averaging 11.2 points per game in his career, is in the third year of a four-year deal he signed with Denver in 2018.
