Texas Tech signed its seventh transfer of the offseason, with 6-foot-11 Daniel Batcho joining the Red Raiders.

Batcho, who is from Paris, redshirted last season as a freshman at Arizona and has four years of eligibility remaining. He was one of the top international prospects in the Class of 2020.

In France, he played for the Centre Federal du Basketball, helping U18 CFBB Paris to a runner-up finish at the Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament. He was MVP of the tournament in Belgrade in February 2020, averaging 14.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocked shots per game. He shot 69.7 percent from two-point range over the four games.

New coach Mark Adams will have a roster completely different from the one Chris Beard left behind when he took the head coach job at Texas on April 1.

The Red Raiders also have added transfer forward Kaelen “KJ” Allen (East Los Angeles College), along with guards Chandler Jacobs (Dallas Baptist), Adonis Arms (Winthrop), Davion Warren (Hampton), Mylik Wilson (Louisiana) and Sardaar Calhoun (Florida State).

Guard Ethan Duncan, a local product from Trinity Christian School in Lubbock, also signed with Texas Tech from the Class of 2021.
