Tuesday’s men’s basketball game between the No. 23 Providence Friars and host Creighton Bluejays has been postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Providence program.

The Friars (14-2, 4-1 Big East) are now scheduled to return to action on Saturday at home vs. UConn.

The Bluejays (10-4, 2-1) will visit No. 17 Xavier on Saturday in Cincinnati.

This is the second game on the Providence schedule that’s been postponed this season after a December matchup vs. Georgetown was rescheduled for Jan. 20. Creighton’s game vs. the Hoyas set for Dec. 28, also postponed, has been rescheduled for Feb. 14.

The teams will work with the Big Ten Conference on when to reschedule Tuesday’s game.
