Astralis’ Andreas “Xyp9x” Hojsleth will return to their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive lineup for the BLAST Premier Fall Groups in place of in-game leader Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander.

The Danish organization announced the return of Xyp9x — as well as a bit of other news — on social media.

“Cat is out of the bag,” Astralis wrote on Twitter. “Clutch Minister (Xyp9x) returns to the starting line-up for @BLASTPremier! He will replace (gla1ve) who is preparing for a bigger challenge than any tournament: Being a parent.”

gla1ve, 25, went into further detail in his post on Twitter.

“I really don’t want to miss the experience of my first child getting born, and it means everything to me that this is also something the organization and my teammates wants for me,” he wrote. “It’s no secret, I really want to play, but I also did not want to put the team in a position where they had to change player while a tournament was going on. That would create much more confusion and for the sake over everybody, we decided to do it now.”

Xyp9x, who will turn 26 on Saturday, is a multi-time Major winner in the world of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Astralis have been paired with Team Liquid, Vitality and Evil Geniuses in Group A of BLAST Premier Fall Groups.
