Dota 2 Champions League Season 4 to kick off Sept. 18

The Dota 2 Champions League series will resume on Sept. 18 with the start of Season 4, per an announcement from Epic Esports Events.

The season will run until Oct. 6 and feature a prize pool of $50,000. The Champions League Series plans to run five seasons and pay out $250,000 in total.

Season 3 winner V-Gaming is among eight teams directly invited to compete, along with open qualifier winners Khan and qwerty.

The other seven direct invites are B8, PuckChamp, Fantastic Five, Nemiga Gaming, Brame, Winstrike Team and Creepwave.

Team Spirit won the first two seasons, but did not participate in Season 3.

The event will begin with a group stage, featuring best-of-three round robin play, followed by a best-of-three double elimination bracket.

The grand final will be best-of-five.
