The NBA 2K League inaugural All-Star Game will take place Sept. 25, to be livestreamed on Twitch and YouTube.

Seven players each from the Eastern and Western Conferences will be selected to play in the game by what the league described Tuesday as “a vote of fans, current NBA 2K League players, head coaches and general managers, and a media panel.”

The fans’ vote will make up half the official total, while the players’ vote will be 25 percent and the coaches, GMs and media will combine for the remaining 25 percent.

When the votes are tallied, the three guards and four frontcourt players in each conference with the highest vote totals will be named All-Stars.

Fans can cast their All-Star votes from Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. ET to Aug. 26 at 11:59 p.m. ET on the league’s website.

The winning team will receive $18,000 to share among its players, while the losing team’s payout is $7,000.

The league said via a press release that additional details, including where the game will be held, will come at a later date.

“For four seasons, the NBA 2K League has been home to the world’s best NBA 2K players, and in celebration, we are thrilled to host the NBA 2K League All-Star Game where, for the first time ever, we will see the absolute best players in the world chosen by peers, coaches, general managers, media and fans, compete and showcase their skills playing the newly-released NBA 2K22,” league president Brendan Donohue said in a statement.

Donohue added that the league hopes to establish the All-Star Game as an annual tradition.
