Ninjas in Pyjamas continued its strong start in Group B action and earned a spot in the grand final at the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups event Tuesday with a victory against G2 Esports in the upper bracket final.

G2 grabbed the early lead in the best-of-three match, prevailing 16-7 on Ancient, thanks in part to the performance by Nikola “NiKo” Kovac of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who recorded 27 kills and a plus-14 kills-to-deaths ratio.

He finished plus-25 with 76 kills over the three maps.

Ninjas rallied, scoring victories on Mirage and Inferno, 16-14 and 16-9, respectively. Denmark’s Nicolai “device” Reedtz scored a plus-12 on Mirage to spark the rally, and then continued his strong play by pacing the field at plus-9 in the deciding game on Inferno.

Overall, “device” finished with a plus-21 kills-to-deaths ratio with 65 kills.

G2 will face BIG in the lower bracket final Wednesday, after BIG eliminated MIBR in the lower bracket 2-0. BIG won on Mirage 16-4 and on Nuke 16-9 to earn the victory.

German Florian “syrsoN” Rische paced BIG with 45 kills and a plus-25 kills-to-deaths ratio.

Twelve teams, broken into three groups, are competing for shares of $150,000 in the event that runs through Sunday. The top two teams from each group advance to the Fall Finals while the bottom two from each group advance to the Fall Showdown. The winners earn $25,000.

All matches are best-of-three in the double-elimination format.
