The Denver Broncos placed outside linebacker Bradley Chubb on injured reserve Wednesday and signed linebacker Micah Kiser off the Los Angeles Rams’ practice squad.

Chubb had arthroscopic surgery Wednesday to remove a bone spur from his left ankle. Initial reports out of Denver indicated he was on track to return after the Broncos’ bye in Week 11.

Chubb, 25, was a Pro Bowl selection last season when he had 7.5 sacks in 14 games. He was injured in the second quarter of Sunday’s victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Kiser, 26, played 17 special teams snaps in the Rams’ victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The 2018 fifth-round pick started nine games for the Rams last season, making 77 tackles and forcing one fumble.

Denver also promoted running back Damarea Crockett from the practice squad to the active roster and signed linebacker Pita Taumoepenu to the practice squad on Wednesday.
