Seattle Kraken forward Jaden Schwartz will undergo surgery on his hand and miss four to six weeks, the team announced Thursday.

Schwartz injured the hand during a game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Dec. 29.

Schwartz ranks second on the Kraken with 20 points. He has six goals and is tied for the team lead with 14 assists.

The 29-year-old spent the previous nine-plus seasons with the St. Louis Blues. He signed a five-year, $27.5 million deal with expansion Seattle as a free agent in late July.

He has 160 goals and 245 assists (405 points) in 589 NHL games.
