Reports: Flyers acquire Ryan Ellis from Predators

The Philadelphia Flyers acquired Ryan Ellis from the Nashville Predators on Saturday for fellow defenseman Philippe Myers and forward Nolan Patrick, multiple media outlets reported.

Patrick then was flipped in a separate deal to the Vegas Golden Knights for fellow forward Cody Glass, TSN reported.

Ellis, 30, recorded 18 points (five goals, 13 assists) in 35 games last season. He is two seasons into an eight-year, $50 million contract.

Ellis has posted 270 points (75 goals, 195 assists) in 562 career games since being selected by the Predators with the 11th overall pick of the 2009 NHL Draft.

Myers, 24, collected 11 points (one goal, 10 assists) in 44 games in 2020-21. The 6-foot-5 Myers has 29 points (six goals, 23 assists) in 115 career games with the Flyers.

Patrick, 22, had nine points (four goals, five assists) in 52 games last season. He has 70 points (30 goals, 40 assists) in 197 career games since Philadelphia selected him with the second overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.

Glass, 22, recorded 10 points (four goals, six assists) in 27 games in 2020-21. He has 22 points (nine goals, 13 assists) in 66 career games since being selected by the Golden Knights with the sixth overall pick of the 2017 NHL Draft.
